Moving Out of Your Comfort Zone

Change is inevitable and is the only thing that’s constant.  It comes for all of us whether we want it or not.  It pushes us outside our comfort zone and asks us to open ourselves up to something new.  New people, new ventures, new places and new opportunities.  We’ll navigate these changes much smoother if we can stop thinking about what we’re losing and how to stop it.  Moving out of your comfort zone and embracing the changes that occur might just allow you to find something much better than you had before.  Doors only close when new ones are ready to open.

People and things come in and out of our lives for different reasons.  The suffering that often accompanies change only comes when we try to control the outcome.  Not all people and things were meant to last a lifetime.  Some things were never meant to last forever even though we might have thought they were.  If we look at it from a different perspective, we might see that everything we experience in life is meant to help us grow.  When we have done that sufficiently, we are ready for the next opportunity, even though it means leaving things we love behind.  Growth is the biggest thing we came into this life to experience.

Again, looking at things from a different perspective, each person (aka teacher) comes into our life for a specific reason so when they leave, it’s actually an accomplishment.  We learned what we needed to from that person and now we’re ready for something new.  Them leaving is actually a reflection of what you’re ready for, nothing more.  It’s like a graduation to the next level where that level is your readiness for further transformation.  Moving out of your comfort zone and embracing these changes is partly where the growth happens. I read somewhere that some people come into our lives for a reason, some for a season, and others forever.  Don’t confuse a season for a lifetime. And don’t overlook the lessons each person teaches us.
