Navigating Life’s Challenges

Many of us experience hardships, unpleasant events and unexpected disappointments but how many of us look beyond the surface of these events? How many of us take a higher perspective, go within and ask what we are supposed to learn from what we are experiencing? Life is a form of school… the school of life. It’s how and where we learn the most valuable skills. The experiences we have are not random events at all but rather learning opportunities specific to where we are and what our soul needs. They are how we grow and evolve as both a physical being and a soul. Navigating life’s challenges IS where the real growth comes from.

Instead of asking yourself why a particular thing is happening, try taking a deeper approach. Ask yourself what you are supposed to be learning from it. If we can look at our life events from this perspective, it can entirely change our thoughts about those events. I’ve had plenty of hardships and painful events that I didn’t understand why I was experiencing. When I was able to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, I saw the things I learned from those experiences. In hindsight, I was also able to see I had had those lessons previously as well but didn’t learn the lesson. Until we recognize that the point of what we’re experiencing is to learn something, it’s difficult to learn that thing. We all learn in different ways so how these lessons present themselves will be different for each of us. They key is to recognize what needs to happen and really try to do that work so we can grow and evolve as a soul.

We are the creator of our own reality and only we have the power to change it. By taking a higher perspective and looking at the bigger picture, we are no longer victims of circumstance. When we take control of our lives and our choices, we become active creators of our life experiences. WE decide how we react or respond to situations and WE control whether we learn and grow from our experiences or fall victim to them. Navigating life’s challenges is how we get there.
